Choice Logistics has named Senior Vice President James Adams to the newly created company position of chief operating officer.
He will assume global responsibility for operations, services, and sales at the New York-based supply chain management firm. Adams will continue to report to CEO Michael Katz.
"Jim is a seasoned leader who consistently delivers results. He is uniquely qualified to lead strategic initiatives, drive accountability, and produce client’s desired business outcomes," said Katz. "I have tremendous confidence in Jim’s ability to develop winning teams and implement industry-leading operational practices to extend our market leadership."
Adams joined Choice in January of 2014 from the premium logistics company Panther, where as executive vice president of sales and operations he doubled worldwide revenues in five years and sold the company to Arkansas Best Corp, according to Choice. Prior to Panther, Adams worked at PWC Consulting where he helped technology companies manage their supply-chains.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
