Third-party logistics provider, Coyote Logistics, and the trucking company Access America Transport, have approved a definitive merger agreement.

The combined company will be one of the largest third-party logistics service providers in North America with revenue of over $2 billion, 17 North American locations, approximately 40,000 contracted carriers and around 1,750 employees.
Jeff Silver will continue to serve as Coyote’s CEO while Chad Eichelberger, president of AAT, will serve as the combined company’s president of brokerage.
Founded in 2002, Chattanooga, Tenn.-based AAT handles multi-modal transportation including truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, flatbed, and specialized freight.
Coyote Logistics headquartered in Chicago, Ill. was founded in 2006 and provides truckload, less-than-truckload, and intermodal brokerage services as well as transportation management services through a nationwide network of transportation providers. It serves customers in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, forest products, metals, plastics, consumer products, and government services.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of the month. Terms of the deal have not been released.
