Heavy Duty Trucking eXchange is a “hosted buyer event,” a concept brought to the U.S. from Europe, which allows buyers and sellers to get together in an intimate environment for structured networking, educational sessions and social activities.

There are a few places left for this event, for which HDT and its supplier hosts foot the bill for approved fleet guests, but the cutoff is the end of this week.

HDTX has a solid list of fleets slated to attend. Highlights of the program include:
• Short one-one-one “speed dating” meetings designed to benefit fleets with relationship-building and sourcing
• The honoring of HDT’s Truck Fleet Innovators and panel discussion, moderated by Editor in Chief Deborah Lockridge.
• A keynote speech by Tim Richardson designed to help attendees learn how to break through the barriers to innovative thinking.
• Roundtable discussions about fuel economy, led by National Council for Freight Efficiency’s Mike Roeth.

HDT parent company and show producer Bobit Business Media has hosted similar, successful events in other fleet markets.

“WTX facilitates meaningful and mutually beneficial dialogue in a hassle-free environment benefiting both suppliers and operators,” said Marvin McClain, director of Enterprise Fleet, American Red Cross, Atlanta, after last year’s Work Truck eXchange.

“Meeting in the fashion we did, allowed friendships to be formed, which is an important factor in any business relationship,” added Matthew Weisensel, fleet director, N-Line Traffic Maintenance (an AWP Company), Austin, Texas
