Contract logistics provider, Exel, and its sister logistics company, DHL Supply Chain, have formed a new freight brokerage company, Exel Freight Connect.
The new company is located in Columbus, Ohio and will serve customers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Exel Freight Connect will be a multi-client and multi-sector service, specializing in truckload, less than truckload and expedited shipments, according to a news release, and will cater to businesses of all sizes.
The company anticipates customers from sectors including consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, and automotive. While focusing initially on dry freight, it also offers flatbed, temperature control, intermodal freight transport and other specialized transportation services to their customers.

The American Transportation Research Institute will examine driver coaching, regulatory impacts — including the "Beyond Compliance" concept —and weather disruptions that shape trucking operations.
