CSA and Risk will offer a discussion of the evolution of risk management in the face the CSA program. The following questions will be addressed: How is CSA affecting insurance premiums? How are insurance writers using this information? How can you use risk management strategies to control costs in the post-CSA era and represent your company to underwriters in the best light? It will be presented by John Simms, HNI.

These are just two sessions that are part of an education track focused on heavy-duty vehicles coordinated by Heavy Duty Trucking magazine. Other topics include:

  • driver health and safety

  • medium-duty truck safety

  • making driver scorecards work

In addition, general conference keynote sessions will cover topics such as distracted driving, legal pitfalls to avoid when doing MVR checks, benchmarking/best practices, and using predictive analytics to identify at-risk drivers.

The Fleet Safety Conference is put on by Bobit Business Media, publisher of HDT and other fleet publications such as Automotive Fleet and Work Truck magazine. You can see the full heavy-duty truck education track here. For more information about the 2013 Fleet Safety Conference, visit the event’s website at www.fleetsafetyconference.com.
