HDAW Moving to Orlando; CVSN Now Among Organizers
Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week is moving to Orlando for 2009, and the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network is now part of the conference organizing group

HDAW '09 will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 16-19, 2009.
Last week, organizers announced that a combined management structure for HDAW 2009 has been finalized, with a new agreement between the three conference organizers: the Heavy Duty Distribution Association, Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network.
CVSN just last August announced it would hold its meetings in conjunction with HDAW.
"One of the objectives of HDAW is to have a common platform where distributor issues can be discussed, appropriate plans created, and actions implemented," said Dave Scheer, HDDA chair and president of Inland Truck Parts. "Having CVSN as an organizer and its members as active participants establishes HDAW as an all-industry event where this objective is achieved."
HDAW is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy-duty industry. More than 1,800 managers and executives from 17 countries including distributors, service providers, educators and media attended the 2008 conference.
HDAW is presented by a joint committee made up of industry leaders from the American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists, Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network, Heavy Duty America, Heavy Duty Distribution Association, Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group, International Truck Parts Association, Overseas Automotive Council, Power Heavy Duty, Service Specialists Association, Truck Pride and Vipar HD Parts.
