A former fleet employee of the City of Ashland, Ky., has been indicted for purchasing $143,000 in tires that are unaccounted for, WCHSTV.com reported.
An internal investigation revealed a large increase in tire purchases while Joseph Burriss was a mechanic supervisor. The missing tires had been purchased beginning in August 2013.
If convicted, Burriss faces 10 to 20 years in prison.
