It was opened in 1990 when the current owners, Bob and Judy Dwyer and their partners, purchased the company-owned Mack dealership in Allentown.

Bob Dwyer had worked for Mack Trucks since 1978 and  served as branch manager at the Allentown facility before the purchase. In 2014, TransEdge was named the Mack Leasing Dealer of the Year. It has won several other company awards, including Mack Dealer of the Year in 2011 and Parts Dealer of the Year for North America in 2007.

“At TransEdge, it’s very important that we do business in a way that meets and exceeds our customers’ expectations,” said Bob Dwyer, president of TransEdge. “That’s always been the Mack way, and we’ve lived up to those high standards for a quarter century.”

The 25th anniversary open house event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Allentown. Customers can driver a Mack Pinnacle day cab and sleeper, both equipped with the Mack mDrive automated manual transmission. They will also be able to drive a Mack Granite tri-axle dump truck equipped with mDrive HD.

A complete lineup of current Macks will be on display along with several antique models.

Mack Trucks executives will be available to meet customers throughout the day and a representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will provide safety training on the essentials of passing safety inspections and how to appeal a violation.

Visitors can tour the facility and register for door prizes.
