Dart Transit Co. announced the addition of Bob Klein to its executive management team. Klein joined Dart Transit's sales staff on Jan. 2 as executive vice president for sales and marketing. He is replacing Joyce Jordan, who announced that she would retire in February after 26 years with the company.

Their two-month overlap provides for a smooth and seamless transition of leadership.
Klein comes to Dart with over 30 years of trucking industry experience including eight years with Dart between 1986 and 1994 when he served as regional sales manager and director of operations. In addition to his sales management responsibilities, Klein will oversee Dart’s Dallas Operating Center.
Mr. Klein’s prior experience includes stints as vice president at LinkAmerica, Arnold Transportation, and HighwayMaster Communications Inc.
Twenty-six of Jordan’s 35-year career have been with Dart in a variety of capacities. She led Dart’s sales efforts as executive vice president of sales and marketing since 1994, and as COO for Dart’s Dallas Texas Operating Center since 1997.
She has been very active in the trucking industry, serving on many boards and committees at the Truckload Carriers Association and the Texas Motor Transit Association where she served as Chairman of the Board in 2008. She also served as Chair of the TCA’s Independent Contractor Division.
