The full-day program trains technicians on the company’s Bridgemaster and Standard concrete mixers, including in-depth sessions on topics such as safety; electrical components; hydraulics; drum, chute and Bridgemaster control systems; pneumatics, and Flex Controls system. The courses will include classroom sessions as well as hands-on experience with trucks.
“A concrete mixer truck mechanic is a valuable asset to a customer’s organization and to the industry as well,” said Jim McReynolds, vice president and general manager, customer support solutions for McNeilus. “That’s why we want to do our part to increase both the quantity and quality of the mechanics working in the industry.”
Dates and locations will be scheduled based on interest and demand. Classes will be held each month at different locations around the U.S., beginning December 13 in Salisbury, North Carolina. The company will accept training candidates from any customer who has service technicians working on McNeilus equipment. Training on the Oshkosh S-Series Front Discharge mixer, backed by McNeilus, will continue to be held through the Oshkosh Product Training Center.
