Building on the recent addition of VMRS codes in its TruckSeries truck repair software, the latest upgrade to Manager SE Truck Edition increases a service provider’s capability to integrate and communicate with their fleet customers.

Repair facilities using Manager SE Truck Edition to track shop productivity can now integrate with their customer’s fleet management system allowing them to share estimates, service records and other information.

The new integration creates better alignment between shops that utilize Mitchell 1 shop management systems and the fleets they service.

“At Mitchell 1 we are passionately focused on driving efficiencies throughout the repair process,” said
Ben Johnson, director of product management, at Mitchell 1 during ATA's Technology and Mainteance Council's Fall Meeting. “Integrating with fleet management systems is a natural next step. And since we’ve incorporated the integration in the shop’s normal workflow, it is much easier to interact with a fleet customer.”

With integration to Manager SE Truck Edition (and Manager SE), fleets requiring service on their vehicles can send requests to a service provider directly from their fleet management system to Mitchell 1’s shop management system. Without ever picking up a phone, the service provider can accept the work, share estimates, get approvals and even get paid by the fleet.

The final record of the repair is shared with the fleet management system so the vehicle’s service history is maintained there as well as at the servicing shop. This efficient communication eliminates manual entry
on two systems, as well as much of the back‐and‐forth delays inherent in getting vehicles scheduled in and through the repair process, Mitchell 1 officials said.

Adding to the time savings and increased efficiency, automated VMRS coding in Manager SE TruckEdition helps ensure accurate and consistent historical records used by both the fleet and the repair facility to analyze procedures, operations and equipment needs.

FleetNet America, a fleet management services provider in North America, is the first fleet management system to announce integration to Manager SE Truck Edition.

Manager SE Truck Edition is specifically designed to work in tandem with TruckSeries, Mitchell 1’s truck repair information software suite for medium and heavy trucks.
