ORLANDO (CORRECTED2) -- An original field of 133 technicians was narrowed down to 112 in the first round of the 10th annual SuperTech competition, going on this week as part of the Technology & Maintenance Council’s Fall Meeting.
These technicians will continue into Tuesday’s competition, where they will pit their knowledge and skills against challenges put up by organizers. Finalists and the grand champion will be announced at a lunch on Wednesday.
The original field included 133 technicians from around the U.S., organizers said on Sunday night.
TMC’s Fall Meeting continues into Thursday with scores of educational sessions. Total attendance is 1,267, including fleet managers, supplier representatives, service providers and educators.
CORRECTED 9/24/2014, 3:30 p.m. EDT. The original version of this article implied that these were the final results, rather than just the first round of the competition, and listed "top qualifiers" when in reality the qualifying techs were not ranked. We apologize for any confusion.
