The American Trucking Association’s Technology & Maintenance Council will hold its Fall Meeting Sept. 22-25 at the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Fla.
The annual event will bring all parts of the technology and maintenance community together with discussion panels, technical sessions, competitions and policy updates.
More than 100 task forces will meet the first day to update TMC recommended practices through a peer-review process with end-users and suppliers. Technical sessions will feature a fleet executive panel discussing current issues and trends as well as maintenance and liability issues.
They will talk about Phase 1 and Phase 2 greenhouse gas regulations, future dual-voltage systems for commercial trucks and engine aftertreatment issues.
Speaking on the 23rd at the industry luncheon will be Goran Nyberg, president of Volvo Trucks North America sales and marketing. There will also be a National Technician Skills Competition where the top truck technicians from across the country compete in skills challenges.
