TMD Friction announced 2015 class dates for its quarterly brake training course. There will be classes on Feb. 4, April 29, Aug. 12, and Nov. 11 at the company's headquarters in Troy, Mich.
“Interest in training continues to grow,” said Fabio Jurchaks, sales and engineering director, NAFTA. “We take a unique approach for brake training by starting with a deep dive on friction materials.”
The training looks at the formulation, evaluation, testing and certification of brake linings and pads. There will be training on drum and disc brake theory, function, air system components and fleet spec’ing to optimize the material for application.
“We had lively discussions in the 2014 classes and look forward to many more in 2015,” said Jurchaks.
The one-day classes are free with lunch and training materials included. There is still time to sign up for the Nov. 12 training date this year, the last one of 2014.
