The 36th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree will kick off July 9 at the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa.
The three-day event runs through July 11 and features 175 exhibits, a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display, Iowa pork chop cookout, Trucker Olympics, carnival games and several free concerts.
There will be a fireworks display on Thursday and Friday night and cake will be served on July 11 at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum in celebration of the 1915 Mack AB truck’s 100th birthday.
“We are celebrating America’s truckers and the hard work they do to keep this country moving,” said Delia Moon Meier, owner of Iowa 80 Truckstop. “We are proud and honored to have been serving professional drivers for over 51 years. It’s really neat to see third and even fourth generation drivers who stop at Iowa 80.”
The Iowa 80 Truckstop is located on I-80 at Exit 284. Admission and parking are free. Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
