Whip Around’s customizable electronic DVIR now works with RTA’s work order management and maintenance scheduling solution to connect drivers and mechanics in real time. Drivers can take photos of defects and add comments using Whip Around’s voice-to-text feature, giving mechanics more information via the RTA work order management system.
“We see RTA as a logical partner in our push to integrate smart technology platforms with Whip Around to provide deeper capabilities to our customers,” said James Colley, co-founder of Whip Around.
Mileage from Whip Around’s Optical Character Recognition technology is immediately inputted into RTA’s system, triggering maintenance reminders and helping mechanics keep on top of fleet servicing. RTA’s software also allows mechanics to manage parts and inventory and give updates to the work order that transfer back into the Whip Around solution.
This new combined maintenance and compliance solution also helps fleets that operate DOT-registered vehicles to stay compliant, and the automation saves them time and helps improve their CSA scores, according to the companies.
