The bevy of beauties at this year's Paul K. Young Truck Beauty contest at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, seemed a little thinner. There were fewer of the highly customized "Mafia" style trucks, and the winners list showed a preference for more traditional entries. The Nikola One Launch Event
The unveiling of the Nikola One hydrogen-electric long-haul tractor generated intense curiosity from truck operators, suppliers, and the trucking press. The vehicle's design does away with the traditional diesel and gear-heavy drivetrain in favor of electric propulsion from a hydrogen fuel cell that provides a range of 1,200 miles. Photos: Tom Berg
