Giti Tire USA has announced that tire industry veteran John Aben is joining the company as its senior vice president.
Aben will be tasked with working with distributors, dealers and retailers in the North American replacement tire market to strengthen the position of Giti’s brands. He will also work with original equipment manufacturers.
Aben has been in the tire business for more than 30 years with experience in retail, commercial, wholesale and manufacturing. He has worked with companies like National Tire Warehouse, Sears Tire Group, and held management positions at Winston Tire Company, Tire Centers and Nexen Tire.
He is also a tire industry analyst specializing in territory expansion, market identification, vendor relations, negotiating, key account retention, P&L management and team building/mentoring.
“We’re thrilled that a well-respected tire industry veteran of John’s caliber is joining the Giti Tire team,” said Julianto Djajadi, executive vice president of business operations for Giti Tire USA. “John will play a key role in helping us continue growing market share in North America and ensuring that our planned passenger and light truck tire manufacturing plant in South Carolina becomes a tremendous asset to our North American customers.”
